I love painting outdoors and some of my favorite times is Spring and Summer when I can paint anything boats, waterfronts, beach and sand. There is something majestic about ocean life to me and something soothing as well. I have a collection to share of some of my favorite paintings that are watercolors. Let me know if you have a favorite boat, beach house, or commercial building like hotels or boardwalks that you would like painted. I can be commissioned for those year round.

Lately I have been enjoying creating drybrush watercolor paintings. I find this technique suitable for some of my subjects. Like this house crow of Mumbai. You find crows everywhere in India. When I was a kid, crows seemed big and menacing. Welcome on certain occasions when we offered food to our ancestors. We would throw food on…
Welcome to my new website! I am introducing fine art prints with the new website. “State Fair” is the first ever print I am selling. It is a 12″x16″ print on 13″x19″ watercolor paper. The original painting is a gouache painting. This painting had won honorable mention in Jerry’s Artarama’s Turner Gouache painting contest….
Pam and Dick. 12×16. Watercolor. This is one of the live wedding paintings that I had done last year. It was early fall and the wedding ceremony was at the Matthews House. The Matthews house is a beautiful place- one of the places which I may paint Plein Air, if not painting live wedding. The outdoor…
Leigh and Tony. 16×12 Watercolor. Painted live at St. Mary’s Chapel in Raleigh, NC. This is my latest wedding painting. I was working with Cara Zuehlke of A Southern Soiree. St. Mary’s Chapel is beautiful. It reminded me of All Saints Chapel where I had done a wedding painting earlier. The chapel was decorated beautifully, both…
This is the view of Raleigh Downtown from NC State Capitol. Painted on a tinted paper with both watercolor and gouache. Gouache was used for creating lights and accents in the painting. This is one of my several paintings of Raleigh downtown. I often paint there en plein air. I did a sketch yesterday evening…
This is an oil portrait of my son Ian! I frequently sketch him from life. That practice helps me sketch when I am painting live at weddings and events! This portrait is based on an image I had captured while he was standing by the front door, curiously observing the world outside. I paint portraits…
